Shabana Group

The group started its activities in 1978 by Mr. Abd El Bari Shabana, may he rest in peace, and the beginning was through the branch of Ain Shams, where the commercial activity at that time was limited to the walls and paints. In just three years, in 1981, Shabana became one of the largest distributors of paint companies in the Arab Republic of Egypt (Pachin, Carital). It also had the lead in supplying the Egyptian market with the latest equipment for color painting. It contracted the first semi automatic machine to mix the colors in the Arab Republic of Egypt about 2000 colors with the Greek company Airlak. And then became an authorized distributor of Jotun Paints Company because of its high quality products and the introduction of computer coloring machines. The first branch outside Ain Shams was opened on 1/5/1997 with the introduction of new products such as decorations and some household accessories in order to satisfy the needs of the customers. About two years later, in 1999, the Haroun branch in Heliopolis was opened to be the third branch in the Shabana branch chain. In addition to the expansion process, the family’s second generation introduced the distribution activity alongside the retail activity through the purchase of the Swedish Company for painting tools in 1998 and the establishment of a huge distribution network covering the whole country from Delta to Upper Egypt. In 2005, the family’s second generation decided to manufacture the products distributed locally by the Swedish company instead of importing them. The decision was made to introduce the manufacturing activity and establish ADM factory located in Al Obor city to produce a number of paints and materials such as rolls, crack fillers, paste and other products proudly bearing the slogan Made in Egypt with high quality, diversity and outstanding prices. In 2011, the largest commercial center for young people was opened in Nasr City, covering all the needs of the contemporary Egyptian house with the latest models, the highest quality and the least cost to join the Shabana branch group. During the years 2012-2015, two commercial centers were added in the 6th of October and Mokattam districts to join the Shabana branch which has reached 6 branches so far. The success story continues to flourish over the years, led by Majdi Shabana, Sayed Shabana, Ahmed Shabana, Nasser Shabana and Mohammed Shabana, all united by one goal: to bring more innovations and success.
