ur first generation began working in manufacturing halava since 1935 till 1956 when our first factory was first established in the heart of Alexandria city , Egypt ( Cleopatra factory for halava ) . Nowadays El Zahraa Factory extends over an area of 4000 m2of which 1000m2 is dedicated to the manufacturing ward . In our current site, we are a licensed establishment since 1986 .
As per our policy to follow the universally agreed upon steps in food processing industry
We attained 3 International certificates that are reauthorized annually, namely
* HACCP : For food safety Iso 22000-2005
* Environmental safety : Iso 14001-2004
* Occupational safety : Iso 18001-2007
The factory follows the standard Egyptian specifications of halava and tahina
( No 384,1332 and 992-2005 and No 941 – 2005 )
We are regularly inspected by concerned authorities in Egypt that issue the certificates of integrity for our products
We offer our products under two commercially registered brand names ( Khan and Sokaria ) . We produce a wide range of weights in suitable packaging . Halava comes in different types :- plain , chocolate , stuffed with nuts and bar . Weight varies between 40gram to 20kg . As for tahina there are weights from 250grams to 20kg.
For many years , we have a long reliable experience of production in large quantities for various clients as school , universities , security forces and hospitals.
In addition , we have our large share exporting to many European and Arab countries as England , Greece , Austria , Italy , Libya , Oman , Yemen and Jordan
